Hog Wild

On Friday we headed down to Columbia, South Carolina to watch our Hogs play the Gamecocks.
Ashley at My Southern Affair gave me some incredible restaurant recommendations.
We ate at Cantina 76.
It was absolutely amazing.
Chicken Pesto & Fish Tacos.
Before we left I made some cute little piggy cupcakes for the tailgate.

We had a good time tailgating but got kicked out of the game in the first quarter because of some rowdy redneck SC fans complained about us.
My husband was wearing a hog helmet and they were being completely rude.

I promise if we were in Fayetteville nothing would have ever happened.
I am devastated by their fans lack of hospitality to a traveling team and for the cops lack of sensitivity towards Veterans. It was my husband's birthday present and we watched literally three minutes of the game.

Good luck if you ever travel to the Gamecock stadium. You will probably be treated rudely and with disrespect.

Hope y'all had a better weekend than we did!
Least there were cupcakes.
Be blessed, darlings.

  2. I am so sorry this happened to you! I used to live in Columbia, and tailgated at Williams-Brice all the time. That is such a complete bummer =(

You look gorgeous though and those cupcakes are adorable.

  6. Those piggy cupcakes are so cute!!! I hate rude fans... It really makes going to an event NOT fun... I pretty much boycott going to the hockey games here due to the fans.

  8. Are you kidding me? You guys got kicked out? What a joke. I am so sorry that your husband missed out on his b-day present. What jerks of fans. At least you cupcakes were precious...trying to look on the bright side. :)

  13. Oh man--that really sucks that you go kicked out! Football fans and their rivalries can get pretty bad...the only sport that is worse, so I've heard, is soccer. In Europe--quite a few people have died from fans rioting at game. I'll never understand the crazy sports fans.

  15. How horrible! Some Gamecock fans are extreme (I should know, I went to high school in SC) but not all of them are rude or crazy. I'm sorry how the cops treated y'all. Hopefully next time, y'all will have a better experience. Moving on, I love the piggy cupcakes! They are so cute :)

    WPS!!

(Sorry, couldn't help it. My husband and in-laws love the Razorbacks!)
