Obsessions

1. Grapefruits- I've literally eaten one everyday this week.
Absolutely delish for a crazy fat burner.
I keep it extra healthy and leave it without the spoonful of sugar.

2. Blue Willow-
My house is sorta in the "work in progress stage," we moved in almost a year & a half ago and it still isn't finish. Nor will it ever be. I recently started working on my dining room and equipped it with some gorgeous antique Blue Willow plates. I will definitely show you the finished product don't you worry your pretty little head.

3. I mentioned my love of RED, here, earlier this week.
I did a little Christmas shopping yesterday & couldn't resist this hat.

4. ELF Lip Primer & Plumper.
It is TDF. Long lasting & smells like cinnamon.
What's not to love?
Expect a whole post on this soon!

What are you obsessing over right now?
Have a fabby weekend!

Red Hot Y'all

Red Hot Y'all

Red Hot Y'all by morgan-neal

Red is so hot right now.
You can literally incorporate it anywhere in your wardrobe
and look amazingly chic.
Whether it be with your nails, lips, accessories, or a killer dress..
Add some to your closet and as my dad always says,
"You will be styling and profiling!"
Enjoy!

I am also participating in the Wednesday Walkabout with Jen from

Have a happy Wednesday!

Giving Thanks

This year Thanksgiving was like no other..
We served a non-traditional meal.
Drank wine instead of whiskey.
(Trying to keep it classy, y'all.)
And said some sweet goodbyes to one of our dear friends.
We played board games and had the best Thanksgiving.
That we could away from our family.
(Wish I would have taken some pictures.)

Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving break!

Thanksgiving Twist

Made a quick pre Thanksgiving meal a few days ago.
I can't believe that Thanksgiving is a week away!
I literally can't get enough of this food for the holidays.
Because it's all so delish!

Just so you know I'm from the South and generally call stuffing, dressing.
But since its not all congealed together. It has to be called stuffing.
Hah.

Sausage, Mushroom & Wild Rice Stuffing

butter and olive oil, as needed
1 small onion, diced
1 T. garlic, minced
1 box mushroom, sliced
Worcestershire sauce, as desired
1 t. rosemary
3/4 loaf of French bread
1 lb. sausage
1 box wild rice
1 T. powdered sage
salt, pepper, garlic powder

Melt butter and oil in large skillet. Add onion and garlic and brown lightly.
Don't burn. Add mushrooms and brown as well. Add Worcestershire sauce. And cook on low.
Add rosemary.

Cut French bread in cubes. Drizzle with oil.
Place under broiler until lightly brown and toasted.
Cook wild rice according to boxed directions.
Cook sausage until crumbled. Add sage after draining grease off.
Add all separate components and place in baking dish.
Season to taste. Place pads of butter on top and bake until melted and hot.

Cranberry Sauce

12 oz. bag of cranberries
1 cup of water
2 cups of sugar

Place all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Reduce to simmer and cook exactly ten minutes.
{The cranberries should burst and the liquid should get slightly thick and should turn frothy pink.}
Place in desired serving dish and cool completely on the counter until room temperature.
Chill in fridge until ready for serving.
I made the night before so it could chill thoroughly.

What are your plans for this yummy holiday?
Enjoy ladies.

{PS} I am in the market for a new hair straightner..
Something ceremic. What do y'all use or think is a good one to purchase?
I'm not very beauty savvy so I need y'alls help! Thanks babes.

Hog Wild

On Friday we headed down to Columbia, South Carolina to watch our Hogs play the Gamecocks.
Ashley at My Southern Affair gave me some incredible restaurant recommendations.
We ate at Cantina 76.
It was absolutely amazing.
Chicken Pesto & Fish Tacos.
Before we left I made some cute little piggy cupcakes for the tailgate.

We had a good time tailgating but got kicked out of the game in the first quarter because of some rowdy redneck SC fans complained about us.
My husband was wearing a hog helmet and they were being completely rude.

I promise if we were in Fayetteville nothing would have ever happened.
I am devastated by their fans lack of hospitality to a traveling team and for the cops lack of sensitivity towards Veterans. It was my husband's birthday present and we watched literally three minutes of the game.

Good luck if you ever travel to the Gamecock stadium. You will probably be treated rudely and with disrespect.

Hope y'all had a better weekend than we did!
Least there were cupcakes.
Be blessed, darlings.

Evening in Elegance

Last night was the 4-73 Calvary Redeployment Ball.
It was so fun to get out and see everyone since it has been just us ladies for so long.
Reintegration is finally over and it was so nice to enjoy ourselves...
We all needed it after the LONG seven month deployment.
Everyone looks so beautiful and had a wonderful time.

Love of my life.
Love these two. Tiff & Jen.
Most precious woman, Jenny.
Sweet Carolina.

Brother Husband.
Hope everyone has a gorgeous weekend!
We are off to call those hogs.

Was going to post a splendid little First Lady outfit for y'all today but thought this would be much better. My best friend from back home told me I had to watch this.

Happy as a Horse

Sunday's are so fun and relaxing.
After church on Sunday I grabbed some lunch at a funky little Mexican dive with the husband.
And needed something extremely versitle to wear that would be appropriate for all the days events.
I settled on something comfy and chic.

After church and lunch we had a holiday open house to attend.
{Forgot to take pics~ oops!}
So fun and festive.
We did a little shopping, enjoyed some treats and came back home for some snuggling, jammies and a quick nap.

On our way home we noticed the horses in our neighborhood out near the road.
Such a perfect backdrop and spirit lifter.
Not that I needed it, I was already high happy from shopping!

Pants {similar here}/ Top/ Vest {old}/
Sunnies {Zara in stores}/ Shoes {Tory Burch Revas}/
Bag {Louis Vuitton Speedy}

This little guy is such a stinker.
I had some radishes in my purse from the restaurant.
{I saved them to bring home to my bunny.}
He ate almost all of them.
He was so sweet.

It was so fun and relaxing. Everything a November Sunday should be!
Hope today is everything you want and more.
Enjoy it ladies.
