Friday Night:
We had some of our good friends, Jack & Dani over for a celebratory dinner.
They just found out they are pregnant.
We are so excited for them!
I served Wild Mushroom Risotto, Braised Spinach & Seared Scallops.
For dessert we had a traditional Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Cream.
We all had such a wonderful night & were completely stuffed!
Saturday:
We had an incredible date night.
We dined out at
via |
For an app we had..
Buttermilk Biscuits, Local Honey, Sweet Potato Butter & Sweet Cream Butter. |
My main course..
Smoked Pork Chop, Garlic & Scallion Garlic Fries, & Pickled Okra |
For dessert..
Pumpkin Pie Bunt Cake with Chocolate Bourbon Glace |
This was our first time at The Steel Pig and it did not disappoint.
We will definitely be frequent customers.
I cannot believe it took us this long to try it out!
After the most delicious dinner, we walked around downtown looking at gorgeous Christmas store fronts. & then saw a local production of "A Christmas Carol" at The Temple Theater.
It was such a fabulous performance, we cannot wait to go see "The Swinging Cowboys" in January.
It was such a blissful date with the Love of my Life.
Sunday:
We finished up our Christmas shopping in Raleigh.
We are officially done, all the gift are wrapped & tied up with string.
We finished off the weekend with snuggles & Christmas movies.
A PERFECT weekend, I tell ya.
Later this week, look for a post on our Christmas decor & an amazing holiday give away!
Have a great week!
Sounds like a fab wkd!
