Pink Obsessed

I mentioned earlier this week how much I am crushing on pink.
So I thought I would share a few items that I am completely smitten with...

Hope y'all are having an amazing week!
& Happy {almost} Valentine's Day!

Splurge, Save, Spend?

Splurge, Save, Spend?

I am totally smitten with these classic black bags right now.
While I would love to go out & buy the beautiful Prada it's just not in the budget.
So looking for "smarter" options is the way to stay in style while still looking chic.

Buying a bag that is a little pricier always pays off in the end.
It is more durable, lasts longer & ,if your a collector like me,
you can use it for years.

Fingers crossed I get enough birthday money,
that I can add one of these beauties to my collection.

Have a fabulous week ladies!

21st Birthday Wish List

Birthday Baby

It's my birth month & what's even more exciting is..
That I will finally be able to drink legally..
Or so I thought until I got pregnant... Hah!

But when that sweet little baby is put into my arms,
that will be the best present imaginable.

So, of course, I had to post a birthday wish list before I forget..
Pregnancy amnesia..

Also look out for some fun giveaways
coming soon in honor of my birthday!

Have a great week!

The Messy Project

I've had quite a love affair with Kelly's The Messy Project & knew I had to participate.
I signed up so long ago & so glad I finally have the chance to join all the fun.
If your not familiar with the rules here's the deal:

1 item
5 girls
5 different looks
1 major blog post day

Pretty simple right?
Well when Kelly contacted me about the sizing for our "item," you see it's all a surprise.
I gave her my usual medium, etc, etc.

What I didn't know was that I was pregnant...
I haven't gained any weight, yet..
But the way my clothing fits has changed drastically.

When I first tried on my dress, I flipped out saying, "Oh hell no!"
This mama-to-be was not having her girls all hanging out.

So I did what any wannabe fashionista would do...
I made it work for slightly hormonal big breasted mama.

From doing this project I learned that you can make anything with fashion work.
As long as you are confident with your outfit you are going to make a statement.
It was so fun & would love to participate in The Messy Project again!

I think I did pretty good! What do you think?
Be sure to check out the other beautiful ladies that participated in this fun project!

Summer Neutrals + Long Trains

Hi ladies!

Long time, no post..
But seriously life has been like a train ride long & bumpy!

Dress: Old {Similar Here} || Shoes: Shoe Dazzle ||
Purse: Kate Spade

But anyway enough of that...
I have literally had this dress for about four years.
I can't get enough of it in the summer months.
It was perfect for our anniversary a couple of weeks ago especially
with it being an off white color and all.

On top of that when I saw these fab shoes on Gal Meets Glam
I knew they had to be mine.
Most of the time I don't even bother checking to see where her stuff is from
because lets face it.. I can't afford it.

But when I found out they were from Shoe Dazzle
and I had enough credits to purchase them plus get a discount I was SOLD!
Run don't walk & get them now!

Hope y'all enjoy & have a great week!

Obsessions...

Obsessions...

So the story behind my obsessions equates to this:
I eat TOO MANY Life Savers Gummies
that I have to go to yoga..
Where I drink lots of sparkling Voss water &
perspire so much that
I have to use The Healthy Deodorant..
After I get out of yoga..
I have to look good so I throw on my Pave Link Bracelet,
a smidge of Mac's Candy Yum Yum,
& my favorite J. Crew neon shorts..
Then relax while reading my Kindle.
A pretty chalk full day.. I tell ya..
YHEW!

Weekend Shenanigans

According to my iPhone..

This weekend we stuffed our faces at the
Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo.

We stood in line waiting for over an hour & a half
for a delicious grilled cheese from the
American Meltdown.

But it was WELL worth it!

Of course I had to get the Beer & Bacon Sandwich.
What's better than BACON?

After sweating, eating & sweating some more..
We headed to Best Buy to return my broken Life Proof Case.
And made a pit stop in Old Navy.

Love my bright OOTD..

Shirt: Zara (Similar) || Shorts: J.Crew Factory ||
Purse: Vintage (gifted from Grandma) ||
Bow Sandals: Rampage (on SALE)

At Old Navy I picked up this CUTE Tassel Dress..
I know a lot of other bloggers have been raving over this number
but for $4 I couldn't pass it up!

And a summer weekend isn't complete without watching a Cardinals win.
Or shall I say.. A little Matt Holliday.. ;)
He did make a grand slam in overtime with two outs and the bases loaded.

Hope y'all have a good week!
Make sure y'all follow my Instagram to keep up with my weekly on-goings..

Doodle's Mom

Are you a follower of What2Wear Blog?
After several months of following Brooke,
and reading her blog religiously, I knew I had to meet her.
She is absolutely the cutest thing!

Tuesday, I met with her at Nordstorm's Cafe Bistro for lunch.
It was like we have known each other forever..
We immediately started talking about school (she also went to the Art Institute),
family, life, and of course, blogging & shopping (our two favorite things, besides food.)

After eating & chatting for a while, we walked around the mall & window shopped.
We had the best time and decided to make it a bi-monthly thing.
Lunch & some much needed girl time.
So glad we finally got together & that I found a sweet blogger friend.

Make sure you go follow Brooke's blog.
She is always dressed the cutest!
Seriously, run don't walk..

Of course I found something for baseball season that I just need.

{PS}
Lots of exciting announcements on the blog next week!
(No, I'm not pregnant!)

Natural Born Heeler

I recently became a member of Shoe Dazzle.
When I first got on the site I thought it was a little sketchy.
You answer about 10 questions & based on the questions,
they customize the shoes, bags, & accessories they offer in your 'Showroom.'

After completing the questions, I could enter my 'Showroom.'
They shoe styles they offered to me were pretty spot on.
As were the bags & accessories.
I was pretty stunned, to say the least.

Then I began to inspect the prices. All extremely reasonable.
Mostly $25-$45.
My next thought was.. Are they durable?
Are they going to last?
And lastly, are they comfortable?

***
My husband knows I'm a shoe freak.
I don't really have a lot of clothes,
but the right shoe can make any outfit complete.
He started looking at the site. And was pretty excited too.
I left the computer on the coffee table & went to make dinner.

Long story short, I didn't think much about the site again.
A few days later, a package was sitting on our porch.
He had picked out & ordered me a gorgeous pair of shoes.

I immediately tried them on..
And I am thrilled to report that, yes, they are very comfortable.
And I do believe they will last for as long as you take care of them properly.

He also signed me up for their VIP Membership.
They give you $9.95 for signing up..
Then once a month they take $9.95 from the Debit/Credit card you have on file,
and puts it into a "shoe fund."

Another perk of having the VIP Membership is being able to "heart" your favorite shoes,
& it saves them for later.
You can also invite friends to join & after their first purchase you both get "Style Points."

You get "Style Points" after you complete a purchase or after you invite friends to join.
Once you earn so many style points you get a $39.95 store credit.

If you would like to join please leave your email address below so I can send you an invite.
I would love to earn points with you!

Emerald: Color of the Year

Earlier in the year, everyone was raving about Pantone's Color of the Year..
Emerald.
And it's still quite a hit.
You see it every where.
It's lush, energizing, radiant.
It provides a sense of well-balanced harmony and elegance.

And to be honest, for a while I wasn't too keen on it.
I kept thinking, why isn't turquoise or mint the color of the year?

I've recently acquired quite a few things in Emerald.
And to say I'm smitten is quite an understatement..

Untitled #15

So glad I hopped on the bandwagon.
You will definitely be seeing some elegant emerald days in my future.
Hope y'all have a good week!

Pink Champagne

The versatility of an oxford shirt is endless.
Tucked in, half in/half out, tied..
Anyway it is worn is utterly chic.

It goes without saying that an oxford shirt is a classic staple.
I just love the way the pink and champagne colored shirt
compliment each other.

Shirt: Old H&M (Similar Here)// Skirt (Gifted)
Shoes// Necklaces (Vintage)// Bag
The photo above was just about the only good one the hubs managed to get.
Check out the outtakes below:

Hope y'all have a great week!
Mine will be a short one.
I'll be off to the mountains with the family on Thursday!
I cannot wait, first time to see them since Christmas!
